She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonia Crisostomo Torresyap and Antonio Torresyap; her husband Honesto B. Vargas, MD; her siblings, Gliceria, Fortunato, Paterno, Andres, Felix and Luis; and her grandson Dominic Ferrara.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Caroline V. Ferrara (Joseph) of Doylestown, PA, Honesto B. Vargas, Jr. (Carole) of Folsom, CA, H. David Vargas (Mercedes) of Covington, LA and Joseph E. Vargas of Chesapeake, VA.; her grandchildren, Peter, Marisa (Kristin Washco), Stephen (Rachel), Gabe Ferrara, Cal, Perry Vargas (Abby), Gabriella, Luke and Marco Vargas; and her great grandchild Lucas Ferrara. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
