He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Parsons Russell and George H. Coefield; and his siblings, Aaron Douglas Coefield, Faye A. Coefield and Patricia A. Plummer.
He is survived by: his wife Margie W. Coefield; his daughter Sonya C. Harrell; his grandson Benjamin J. Harrell; and his siblings, Glenda Coefield, Alphonso Coefield (Gail) and Antonio Coefield. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
