It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Kay Duvall of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Saint Augustine, Florida, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Matthias and Kate Matthias; and her husband Frank William Duvall Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Katie Embry (Tom), Suzanne Kurtich (Dave), Frank Jr. (Amy) and Tracey Edwards (Shea); her grandchildren, Will, Hunter, Trey, Trevor, Alex, Sam, Makayla and Dylan; her siblings, Ann Mauldin and Bob Matthias; her pet Sugar; and her friends, Francis Garner and Betty Burke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
