She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Golden Jr. and Bessie M. Golden; her sister Patricia Simmons; her brothers-in-law, Rob Simmons and Joseph Thomas III; and her nephew David VanHoose.
She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Arrington of Virginia Beach and Gene Arrington IV of Fredericksburg; and her sister Linda Thomas of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
