We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2024, at the age of 78, Linda Lorraine Charlton of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Norfolk, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ray Addison Wright and Margaret Lorraine Yeakly Patterson; and her husband Rodney George Charlton. She is survived by : her children, Michelle Charlton Smith (Ira) of Bay Town, TX and Christopher "Chris" P. Charlton (Angela) of Elizabeth City, NC; her grandchildren, Alex (Natalie), Brooke, Reagan, Blake (Brenna) and Cole; her siblings, Susan Stamm, Sandra Williamson, Jeff, Kermit and Eric Wright; and her close friends, Kay Twiford Donnelly, Gary and Sherrie Waldrop. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy Wright Williams wrote a sympathy message

“April 8, 2024 Judy Wright Williams wrote a sympathy message “I am Linda’s second cousin. When I was 19 I took a train from Miami, FL to see Linda in VA. We bonded over the time I was there and corresponded for awhile. Over the years we lost touch due to distance, circumstances and time. I have been trying to find her for a few years now and just today, 04/08/2024, I was able to, only to discover she had past away. I regret that we lost touch. My sincere apologies to her loving family.”
