With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonie Sylvester Ballance of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on August 31, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty H. Ballance; and his sons, Garry Ballance and Larry Ballance. He is survived by: his children, Tonya Perry (Ren) and Terry Ballance (Elaine); his grandchildren, Tina, Lori, Larry, Jr., Garry, Jr., Jenny, Jessie and Kat; and his siblings, Dolly Dowden, Hazel Lois Rock and Franklin Ballance. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
