Lora Hodges Ware Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lora Hodges Ware in Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Enoch Hodges and Eva Hodges; her son Joseph R. Barlow, Sr. (Holly); her husband Richard B. Ware; and her siblings, Edgar, John Hodges and Sallie Cashwell.
She is survived by: her daughter Alice B. Harwell; her grandchildren, Jordan A. Barlow (Amanda) and Brittany Lang (Joey); and her siblings-in-law, Don and Maggie Ware. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and long-time friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Pastor Friday Nnah in Nigeria, a dear friend of Lora's. Donations can be made through Hickory Ridge Community Church https://onrealm.org.
