With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Scott Highsmith (Chesapeake, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eloise Highsmith and Robert Johnson; and his grandmother Estelle Highsmith. He is survived by: his aunts and uncles, Purnell, James Johnson, Amy Brown, Nellie Johnson, Mary Johnson and Ophelia Turner; his cousin Louis Hysmith; his wife Mary Mangin; his stepdaughter Nicole; his daughter-in-law Stephanie; and his granddaughter Briana. He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. T. Fisher Funeral Services (1248 George Washington Hwy N, Chesapeake, VA 23323). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Little Grove Baptist Church (6320 Old Townpoint Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435).
