She was predeceased by: her parents, Abram Ricks and Catherine Ricks; her siblings, Thelma Gainer of Trenton, Emma Riddick of Norfolk, Virginia, Annie Williams of Richmond, Virginia, Abram Ricks of Chesapeake, Virginia and William Ricks of Portsmouth, Virginia.; and her grandmother Maggie.
She is survived by: her sisters, Ruth Leveston of Portsmouth and Estella Shahid of Norfolk, Virginia.; and her children, Audrey Collins (Bryan) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Robert Moseley, Jr. (Michelle) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kimberly Abernathy (Oliver) of Portsmouth, Virginia and John Richardson, Jr. (Latisha) of Suffolk, Virginia.. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Graves Funeral Home (1631 Church St, Norfolk, VA 23504). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church (1765 S Military Hwy, Chesapeake, VA 23320).
