It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn W. Rowland Thornburg (Chesapeake, Virginia), born in Pendleton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Long Woodard and Mary Long Woodard; her husband Ronald T. Thornburg, Sr.; the father of her children John H. Rowland, Jr.; and her son Douglas H. Rowland.
She is survived by: her son John H. Rowland, III; her grandchildren, John H. Rowland, IV, Stephanie R. Buczacki (Chris), Ashley R. Carroll (Kris) and Brittany Rowland; and her great grandchildren, Cooper D. Rowland, Finnegan K. Buczacki, Oliver Buczacki, Hope Rowland and Teagan Carroll.
