She was predeceased by: her parents, R. C. Russell and Ella Wilson Russell; her husband William M. Hamilton; her stepson Kenneth M. Totty; and her siblings, Clare E. Russell and Jane R. Ball.
She is survived by: her children, James M. Hamilton (Patty), Barry L. Hamilton and Annette H. Brownley; and her stepchildren, Emmitt F. Totty, Jr. (Anne) and Donna T. Griffin (Tony). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Indian River Baptist Church in her memory.
