He was predeceased by: his father Hugh Tillet Sherwood, Jr.; his stepfather James M. O'Leary, Sr.; and his brother James M. O'Leary, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Mary Bullock Sherwood; his children, Mark and Sheila McCoy (Charles); his siblings, Hughie Sherwood and Debbie Sherwood; his fiancée Belinda Brocato; his nieces and nephews, Karina, Patrick, Sean, Michaela and Justin; and his sister-in-law Karla O'Leary England. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Graham Funeral Home (1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chesapeake Memorial Gardens (524 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
