It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jean Wright of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Gulfport, Mississippi, who passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pollard and Mabel Pollard; and her husband Alden M. Wright (Ossie). She is survived by: her sisters, Catherine Hathcock, Dorothy Pollard and Mildred Wattengel; her children, Susan W. Carawan Penick and John Wright; her grandsons, Rona Brandon Carawan, IV (Danielle), Drakeford Alden Penick and Nicolas A. Penick; her great grandchildren, Madison Carawan, Rona B. Carawan (Brody) and Adalia Harger; her niece Laura Dever (Tom); her nephews, James Wattengel and Mark Hathcock; and her sister-in-law Bonnie Wright.
