With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Whaley Hitch of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Berlin, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Whaley and Madeline Watson Whaley; and her husband Howard C. Hitch, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine Espinoza (Wayne) of Chesapeake, VA and Sally Harrison (Mike) of Frankford, DE; her brother Peter W. Whaley (Beryl) of Salisbury, MD; her grandchildren, Madeline Espinoza (Mady), Josephine Harrison (Jay), Eleanor Harrison (Ellie), Cody Espinoza (Molly) and Jonathon Espinoza; and her great grandchildren, Aurora and Rhys Espinoza.
