We are sad to announce that, on December 18, 2025, at the age of 78, Misako Meis in Chesapeake, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her close friend Lola; and her parents, Sukeichi Kawauchi and Tsune Kawauchi. She is survived by: her sons, Anthony (Patty), Michael and Bobby (Niki); her grandchildren, Jenny, Amy, Kimberly, Patrick, Emily, Jennifer, Tabitha, Neal, Anna, Carolynn, Arias, Adam and Kayla; and her former husband James Meis Sr. (Karen).

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the ASPCA are requested.
