It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Spencer Godfrey Jr. (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on July 29, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Spencer Godfrey, Sr. and Helen Quidley Godfrey of Perquimans County, NC; his siblings-in-law, Carson Creef, Martin Creef, Tom LaCombe and Miriam LaCombe; and his nephew Justin LaCombe.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Creef Godfrey; his daughter Pamela Godfrey Pureza; his son-in-law David Pureza; his grandchildren, Zoe Elizabeth Pureza and Zachary David Pureza; his brothers, Wayne Godfrey (Sherry) and Frankie Godfrey; and his parents-in-law, Steve, Beverly Russell, Earl, Judy Bateman, Marianne Creef, Janet Sawyer, Dale and Christie Hewitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
