He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Tipton Spencer and Zelpha Spencer (Coffman); his wife Shirley; and his siblings, Gerald P. Spencer, Billie A. Spencer, Donald T. Spencer and Sue Spencer Veron.
He is survived by: his brother Walter Gary Spencer; his sons, Mark Wayne Spencer and Brian Jay Spencer (Barbara); his grandchildren, Amy Spencer Campbell (Patrick), Andrew Spencer (Megan), Angela Spencer Hollis (Bryan), Matthew Spencer (Maria) and Tyler Spencer (Kala); and his great grandchildren, James Owen, Noah Hagler, Camden, Charlotte Spencer, Brady, Colby Hollis, Bella and Lana Spencer.
