It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randolph Sylvester Whitehurst Jr. (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph S. Whitehurst Sr. and Sarah G. Whitehurst. He is survived by: his wife Minister Cynthia Williams-Whitehurst; his daughters, Renice, Tanisha, Chandra, Cynthia and Ameenah; his siblings, Dalphne Creecy and Marc Whitehurst (Kim); his brother-in-law Eric Clark; his stepmother Jamie Whitehurst; his grandchildren, Tashawn, Jazzman, Rosean, Caiden, Elijah, Isaiah and Yasir; his great grandchild Zanariyah; his nieces, Monique, Tiffany and Kourtney; his great-nieces, Breyanna, A'leiyah and Legacii; his nephews, Kameron, Jamar, Corey, Torez and Kamari; his great-nephew Amir; and his godmothers, Shirley Simpson, Valerie (Walter), Deborah and Emerson. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (120 W Berkley Ave, Norfolk, VA 23523). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bethany Baptist Church (2587 Campostella Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23324).
