With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Gilda DiPaola Basile of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away on May 22, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas DiPaola and Philomena Durante DiPaola; and her husband Alfred Vincent Basile, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Marie Sickmier (Randy) of Chesapeake, Annette Lorraine Ferri of Falls Church, Virginia and Alfred Vincent Basile, Jr. (Gina) of St. Leonard; her sister Nancy Ellen Nigro of Silver Springs; her grandchildren, Colette, Andrea, Elisa, Christina, Rachel and Kenny; and her great grandchildren, Damian, Nicholas and Sofia.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
