He is survived by: his children, Vanessa Nichols, Chenese Nicholes, Robert L. Nicholes, Jr., Herbert Griffin (Frances) and Quincy Griffin (Namona); and his siblings, Maxine Nichols, Joyce Riddick, Arika Mosley (Edward), Brenda Nichols, Cleothas Nichols (Francine), Allen Nichols (Linda), Chester Nichols (Mattie), Elmer Nichols (Teresa) and Roderick Spence (Tarina). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
