With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodger E. Parker (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on September 19, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clayton and Ethel Wynn Parker; his son Barry Parker; and his siblings, Charles C. Parker (Hertie), James O. Parker, Helen Baker (John), Raymond A. Parker (Virginia), Jesse P. Parker, Anne Holcomb (Hoyt) and David Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Sophronia Pratt Parker; his daughter Linda; his son-in-law Ron Austin; his granddaughter Lisa Rae Ximenes (Henry); his siblings-in-law, Doris Pratt, Nancy Pratt Aubra Parker and Bill Chainey; and his caregiver Laura O'Dell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
