He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth G. Carey Banks and Ruben H. Banks, Sr.; his sons, Dorian and Ricardo Banks; and his sister Barbara Douglas.
He is survived by: his daughter Latoya Banks of Chesapeake, VA; his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Voloshchuk (Marian), Ricki Banks and Keyonte Jackson; his great grandchildren, Ricky Griffin, Lucas Voloschuk and Liam Voloschuk; and his siblings, Gloria Douglas and Roscoe Banks.
