He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Peoples, Sr. and Sarah Jones Peoples; and his siblings, Norman Peoples, Emma Copeland, Mamie Lee Peoples-Taylor, Vernelle Peoples and Sarah Peoples-Copeland.

He is survived by: his wife Esther Boyd Peoples; his son Brian Peoples (Alicia); his grandsons, Darren E. Peoples and Christopher J. Peoples; his great grandchild Zurrich Peoples; his daughter-in-law Alicia; his granddaughter Aaliyah Phillips; his pet Columbo; Yani and Yuri Phillips. He is also survived by his family and friends.
