She was predeceased by: her husband Leslie Lee Vinson; her parents, Robert Frank Bennett and Minnie Gardner Bennett; and her siblings, Franklin "Buck", William, Henry, C. D. Bennett, Beulah Hunter, Viola Meade, Louise Askew, Annie Maude Donald and Lorene Paul.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Lilly (Michael Price) and Mark Vinson (Sue); and her grandchildren, Aaron Vinson (Jill), Rachel Goff (Sammy), Elizabeth Apo, Meghan McDonald (Scott) and Brent Lilly. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery (519 Meherrin Ln, Murfreesboro, NC 27855). Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church (4316 Bruce Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23321). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery (519 Meherrin Ln, Murfreesboro, NC 27855).
