He was predeceased by: his parents, Orie Lee and Nellie Parker Mixon; his siblings, Clarence Mixon and Mary Ellen Mixon Honeycutt; and his daughters, Patricia Ryder and Robyn Newsome.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kay Perdue Mixon; his daughters, Kimberly Scott and Sherri Haverty; and his grandsons, Dylan Mixon, Nathan Scott, Patrick Newsome and Matthew Haverty. He is also survived by two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
