We are sad to announce that, on February 12, 2024, at the age of 91, Vance Jones Sr. of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Merritt, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Jones and Carrie Suggs Jones; and his daughter Barbara D. Jones. He is survived by: his sons, Lorenzo Landers and Vance Jones Jr.; his wife Shirley Watts Jones of Chesapeake, VA; his children, Marinda Bynum of Norfolk, VA, Ricky L. Jones of Detroit, MI and Eleanor M. Jones of New Bern, NC; his stepsons, Darryl Watts of Portsmouth, VA, Shawn Mosley of Portsmouth, VA and Kevin Mosley (Janine) of Norfolk, VA.; and his daughter-in-law Linda K Jones of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many, many friends.
