Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Vernon Lee Wilson of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 88, on July 13, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallett Wilson and Thelma Wilson; and his brother Larry Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Sue Asbell Wilson; his sons, Steve (Pamela) and Glenn (Michele Williiams); his grandchildren, Matt Wilson, Stacy Manget, Holly Wellons (Sidney), Liz Manget and Luca Wellons; and his siblings, Allan Wilson, Barbara Roberson, Gail Holloman (Allen) and Rita Jones (Tommy). He is also survived by his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Viewing was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
