He was predeceased by: his father Rev. Joseph McKinley Copeland; and his former wife Shirley Ricks Copeland. He is survived by: his mother Lillian Copeland; his wife Joan; his children, Vincent Boone (Karen), Damon Copeland (Beatrice), Victor Boone and Michelle Rhodes-Brown (Milbert); his grandchildren, Vincent Boone Jr., Tyler Boone, Kassidy Boone, Victoria Brown, Raymond Brown, Davis Copeland and Dylan Copeland; and his brother Joseph Copeland (Francine). He is also survived by many other nieces, cousins, family members and devoted friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the READY Academy Christian School of The Historic First Baptist Church.
