He was predeceased by: his father Alton. He is survived by: his wife Norma Spruill Overton; his children, Gaye Overton Benson (Jeff), W. Jeffrey Overton (Jackie) and A. Scott Overton (Kelli); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda (Ryan), Joshua (Annie), Jessica (Jaison), Julia, Jenna, Josie (Aaron), Cameron, Caleigh, Meredith (Chris), Morgan and Madison (Matt). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
