William Eugene Skaggs Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Eugene Skaggs (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on February 24, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Ree Harris Skaggs; his parents, Addie Lucille Keen Skaggs and Aubrey Lee Skaggs; and his siblings, Jerry Michael, Kenneth, Gary and Karen Sutherland.
He is survived by: his children, William R. (Billy), Joyce (Joy) and McMahon (David Squires); his grandchildren, Ashley Pulasky, Cory Skaggs (Christy), Chad Jackson (James Buehner), Shawn Skaggs (Rachel Hayman) and Hannah Harrington; his great grandchildren, Abel, Emma, Jameson, Benny, Everett, Grace, Elijah and Waylon; his brothers, Fred Skaggs (Ola) and Hilbert Skaggs; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Miles (David) and Annette Skaggs. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
As he was a lifelong animal lover, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Bill's memory to The Chesapeake Humane Society, 312 Battlefield Blvd., N. Chesapeake, VA 23320.
