It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yolanda Richard Evans of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on July 13, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Richard and Louise Richard (Yeager); and her husband Eugene Evans of Norfolk, VA. She is survived by: her daughters, Kirsten, Martine and Dr. Dana Lawson; her granddaughters, Brianna Lawson, Jada Lawson, Siara Lawson, Kira Johnson, Makayla Johnson, Ariana Evans and Mariah Evans; her great grandchild Cadence Joel of Washington; her siblings, Lynette Brethwaite (Larry), Valentina Richard, Franchot Richard (Deborah) and Derek Richard (Pamela); and her sister-in-law Hermione Hodges (William). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and adopted children/grandchildren.
With the uncertainty of the Delta and Omicron variant and the rise in COVID-19 infections in our area, Riddick. Funeral Service will be following CDC guidance and all persons are to wear a mask (regardless of vaccination status) while inside our premises and practice social distancing.
