He was predeceased by: his child Kerry Pendell Simmons; his parents, Carl Albert and Maxine Pendell (Lowery); and his brother Charles. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Geri" Pendell; his children, Katie Cole (Billy) and Colin Pendell (Kelly); and his sister Nancy Yesley (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
