It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cleo Sapundjoglu Calos of Chester, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Gus Efstratios Calos; her parents, Vasilious Sapundjoglu and Irene Karagouni; and her siblings, Helen Sapon Sundie and John Sapon.

She is survived by : her daughters, Irene Calos, Constance Williams (John) and Stephanie Benjamin (Chris); her grandchildren, Dean Williams (Allie), Helen Fisher (James), Laura Kelly (Michael), Kirsten Pastel (Alex) and Karl Benjamin (Mackenzie); and her great grandchildren, Gus, Peter, Claire and Lucy.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral (30 Malvern Ave, Richmond, VA 23221). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (400 Robertson Ave, Danville, VA 24541).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Richmond, VA or to St. Peter's Greek Orthodox Church in Danville, VA. Keep Cleo's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
