With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Jean Beard in Chester, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Helen Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Helen Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Barbie Blair and Sandra Davenport; and her husband Carl Beard. She was also cherished by her two sisters, two daughters, her grandson, and five great-grandchildren.
