He was predeceased by : his daughter Yvette Taylor. He is survived by : his daughters, Shelley Taylor-Barnes (Rodney) and Leslie Taylor; his grandchildren, Jamar, Janelle Barnes, India and Ivan Taylor; his sisters, Jeanette Brown, Alice Taylor and Irene Harrell; and his close friend Letitia Pannill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
