It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Mae Mullis Bowman of Chester, Virginia, who passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Carson Mullis and Mary Lou Gaultney Mullis; her husband Ted Delano Bowman, Sr.; her children, Ted Delano Bowman, Jr., Gary Bowman and Mabel Marie Bowman; and her siblings, Josephine M. Hurley, Odell Mullis, Geneva M. Jennelle, Walter Mullis, Paul Mullis, Hazel M. Musick, Edward Mullis and Faye M. Faulkner.

She is survived by : her children, Walter Bowman, Danny E. Bowman and Lisa Bowman; her grandchildren, Gary Bowman, Jr. (Holli Mae), Madeline Bowman, Jacob Yates and Kenneth Bowman; and her great grandchild Tori Renee Bowman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
