Simmons of Chester, Virginia, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Simmons and Dolores Simmons (Leonard); his son John; and his siblings, Dennis, Mary and Diane.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Simmons of Chester, VA; his sons, Stephen Simmons, Jr. (Laura) of Chester, VA, Ryan Simmons (Ashleigh) of Davis, IL and Adam Simmons of Clinton, IA; and his siblings, James Simmons of Canon City, CO, Bruce Simmons (Susan) of Bettendorf, IA, Frank Simmons (Michi) of Stockton, CA, Debra Roesger of Navarre, FL, Donna Lueders (Mike) of Clinton, IA and Brenda Merrill (Dean) of Clinton, IA. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the family would prefer masks to be worn at the visitation and service.
