She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Everette Whitaker, Sr. and Myrtle Virginia Bowman Whitaker; her husband Donald "Donnie" Burton; her brother Jerry Whitaker; and her niece Tricia Whitaker White.
She is survived by: her daughter Stacy Burton Whaley (Todd); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Rayne Burton Whaley and Hunter Corbin Burton Whaley; her siblings, Carol Hunt (Richard) and Russell Whitaker, Jr. (Gay); her niece Debbie Cox (Kenny); her nephew Jay Whitaker (Jennifer); and her pet Molly. She is also survived by many other extended family members and special friends.
