She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Ratcliff and Blair "Ham" Ratcliff. She is survived by: her husband Cary Renforth Shade; her children, Leah King (Charlie), Leigh Bailey, Raymond "Trey" Baggett III and Charles Shade (Shawna); and her siblings, Dee Dee Frye (Monty) and Aldo "Larry" Ratcliff. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.

The family suggest making donations in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
