He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Lee Dungans; his parents, Ohna Mae and Leon Dungans; and his siblings, Louise Robinson, Mae High, Ruth Hudson and Herbert Dungans.

He is survived by : his son Wayne Garber (Mary); his sister Ellen Pearce; his grandchildren, Matthew Garber (Lauren), Carey Lehner (Rob) and Amanda Satterwhite (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Asher, Jack, Charlotte, Emmet, Isabelle, Penelope and Corbin.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service (6500 Iron Bridge Rd, Richmond, VA 23234). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park (2901 W Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831).
