He is survived by: his wife Barbara Whitlock Schmick; his children, David Jacob Wilson Schmick and Jessica Elizabeth Schmick Lugo (Jon); his grandson Maverick Bentlee Lugo; his siblings, Scott Preston Schmick (Cathy) and Elizabeth Schmick Walsh (Tim); and his cousin Bari Lynn Pitts (Wally).
