She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest J. Varnier and Lois Eggleston Varnier; and her brothers, Ernest D. Varnier and David Varnier. She is survived by: her husband Woodrow Hicks; her stepdaughter Melody Hackett (Josh); her grandson Benjamin Chancellor; her brother Mike Varnier (Dawn); her sibling's children, Laura Varnier, Christian Varnier and John Michael Varnier; and her sister-in-law Janet Varnier. She is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bennett Funeral Home (14301 Ashbrook Pkwy, Chesterfield, VA 23832). A graveside service was held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dale Memorial Park (10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832).
