He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Whorley Shumaker (Phil) of Dillwyn and Henry T. Ranson, Sr. (Agnus) of Buckingham; and his sister Lillie R. LeSueur of Dillwyn. He is survived by: his siblings, Pauline R. Carroll of Buckingham, Mary R. Perkins of Buckingham and G. Wayne Ranson of Cumberland; and his siblings' children, David Perkins (Lynn) of Dillwyn, Janet Gilbert of Farmville, Tammy Baird of Dillwyn and Amy Carroll of Buckingham.
