It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacqueline D. Kelo of Chesterfield, Virginia, who passed away on November 19, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Rice and Henrietta Rice (Siwanowicz); her husband Robert Edward Kelo, Sr.; and her son Robert Edward Kelo, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Kelo of Chesterfield, VA and Michael Kelo (Susi); her grandchildren, Ella and Landry; her sister Barbara Ganetsky of Southbury, CT.; and her daughter-in-law Michelle (Charles). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Coach Bobby Kelo Memorial Scholarship Fund and sent to the following address: Valley Community Foundation 253-A Elizabeth St. Derby, CT 06418.

“Jackie and Bob were the models of kindness and goodness in action that I held up to myself and to my children. When I was little she would visit, never hesitating to tell me when my behavior was not up to snuff and gently speak to me about how a child should act in order to be respected. As I got older she was there to welcome me back from school or let me play with her children, who were growing up to be strong and social and very athletic. Again, I learned how to be better than I was. sue”
