He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Smith, Sr. and Mary Thompson Smith; and his former wife Deborah "Dee Dee" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Ann Smith; his sons, Ryan Smith (Tracy) and Alex Smith (Bailey); his grandchildren, Lanie Smith and Aubrey Smith; his brother George Smith, Jr. (Nancy); and his son-in-law Daniel O'Shields (Keara).
