He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Schrum and Rachel Crowder Schrum; his grandson Jason Everett Schrum; and his brothers, Hunter Schrum and James Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Henshaw Schrum; his children, Janet Marie Schrum, Donna Lynne Davis and John Calvin Schrum, Jr. (Debra); his granddaughters, Melissa Ann Bernhard, Abigail Lynn Fulgham and Amanda Louise Davis; his great grandchildren, Brynn, Eric and Teagan; his brother Lee Schrum; and his cousins, Jennifer Bell, Lori, Meaghan, Diana and John. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
