With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marvel R. Barnette Jr. of Chesterfield, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2024 at the age of 73. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Marvel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvel Ray Barnette, Sr. and Mildred Mills Butler; and his brother Lawrence David Barnette. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Barnette; his children, Billy Barnette (Michelle Barnette) and Nicole Moss (Johnathan Moss); and his siblings, Esther Mimitz Barbara Titus and Edward Barnette. He is also survived by five grandsons; lot of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
