He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Flynn; his parents, Matthew Flynn and Rita Flynn; and his sister Mary Dougherty. He is survived by: his children, Michael Flynn Jr. (Michelle), Tracey Portillo (Jesús) and Shannon Flynn; his siblings, Ann Flynn, Alice Flynn, Patricia Sweeney, Kathleen Beani (Steven), Jimmy Flynn and Tommy Flynn; and his grandchildren, Snag, Stella Flynn, Cristopher, Max and Lani Portillo.
