He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Dalton and Jewel Dalton; and his brother Delvin. He is survived by: his wife Donnie; his sons, Shawn (Amanda) and Eric; his grandson Stanley; and his siblings, Stephen (Lynda), Phillip (Patty), Linda (Ron), Billy (Tina), Janice (Calvin), Wanda, Margaret (Wes) and Lila (Lonny). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Amelia Veterans Cemetery (10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002).
