He is survived by: his son Nathan Groome (Johannah); his mother Cleo Dale Mitchell; his sister-in-law Cheryl Groome; his aunt Sheila Bowlin; his uncle Raymond Bowlin; his cousins, Ray Bowlin (Kim), Olivia Bowlin and Doug Womeldorf; his girlfriend Donna Smiley; and his stepsisters, Amy Boothe and Melanie Bradley.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Red Lane Baptist Church Cemetery (2095 Red Lane Rd, Powhatan, VA 23139).
